CNY rocks the bom bom like every year :D with uncle uncle spending more than ten thousand on bombs, firecrackers and stuffs that goes bom bom bom then toddlers will start running and screaming for 'ahh mummy mummy' YESYESYES! and the never ending steamboat that goes on for DAYS and goes on for HOURS and mj session that never stop! AWWW, im kinda missing the 100meatballs. Then getting stuck in JAMS YES JAMS! it was more than 2freaking hours~and having practical at 8am on the very next day, how great!

Late project causes 11 O-level failures

ELEVEN teenagers, who claimed they had an extension on their deadline to submit their projects for their O-level examination, had a shock when they received their results on Monday.
All of them failed, receiving an F9 as the grade for their subject, Design And Technology (D&T).

What shocked them was what their principal, Mr Shawal Hussin, told them: They failed the subject because they had not submitted the projects on time.

The design and construction of the projects accounted for 60 per cent of their scores and they had to submit them by Aug 28 last year.

The students claimed that their teacher had given them an extension because they "did not finish on time and could not hand in work that was half done".

When contacted, the Ministry of Education (MOE) said it is now looking into the matter and "will decide on the appropriate action after the investigation has been completed".

An MOE spokesman said schools and students are informed of deadlines for submission of examination work.

The rules "must be strictly complied with to protect the integrity" of the examinations and to ensure fairness to other students.

Appropriate actions, she added, will be taken against teachers and students "who knowingly fail to comply with the stipulated examination regulations and deadlines".

"Errant teachers will face disciplinary action and students would be penalised in their score marks," the spokesman said.

The Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board is now reviewing the case following an appeal by the school.

"Their decision would be final," the spokesman said.

Mr Shawal said he told the students on Monday that because they had continued to work on the project after the deadline, they have been penalised.

He said: "The school is very concerned about the matter... We have also reminded our staff and students on the importance of adhering to the examination requirements and deadlines."

One of the 11 students, a 16-year-old girl, told my paper that they handed in the projects only in mid-September.

"We went beyond the deadline because the teacher told us to redo the projects," she said.

She kept pressing him on why the deadline had been extended but was told that they could only hand in projects which were completed.

When they found out on Monday that they failed the subject, they complained to their principal.

"We're very sad. A lot of us were depending on a good grade in D&T to go to better schools," she said.

The day finally arrived, the first super wrong decision to make was to cycle to the pool. It was incline cycling all the way man. What a 'warm up'. My legs were literally numb when I reached the pool.

Played 6matches, 1draw, 2wins,3loses. Thank god! we still made it to the fifth position! phewww! & omgomg So we still get to continue playing at night :D Squeezed ourselves in jackson's vanny to JP for lunch/dinner & squeeze ourselves in again for round2! Feeling rather tired/lazy when I was back at the pool. It was a 'live/die' match. If we win, we get to continue to fight for 3rd placing, If we lose, we're out, 5th position. So.. We played againist the 4th, NP. & we won with a golden goal! AHHH! omgomgomg! Then We played to fight for a 3rd and WON! and fought for 2nd with another golden goal & we WON! and.. the last amazing match! & we WON! 7-3! no golden goal! we did it! ahhh! omgomgomg! we were kinda like 'trashed' by them in the noon. AHHH! hahahah! yesyesyes! We played all matches! The prelimary, the 'ladder' matches, omggg.. we played like 10matches? Sunday,11jan,a day I will always rmb!

This year's goodie bag wasnt good at all, compared to what I received last year. Micheal's Food exhib taste goood^^ YumYum! & The whole highlight for the sitevisit was when the class was at the EEE area, iforgot what was it about, its this ball ball roll down thing-ling, yeeps, everyone just went 'wow,woah,iforgot' whenever the ball shoots/jumps. Yes! & we stood there for 10mins watching the same old thing over & over.
